About
My name is Lilly Melander, I am running for Mahtomedi City Council because of my passion to serve others and love for the community I grew up in.
My priorities for Mahtomedi City Council include responsible budgeting, continued investments on our infrastructure and civil citizen engagement.
I will be responsible in developing our budget, taking a critical eye to spending and utilizing our existing resources.
By continuing to invest in Mahtomedi’s infrastructure it will preserve our community’s assets for years to come.
Finally, we must increase our civil citizen engagement to continue the quality of life in Mahtomedi. I will do so by actively engaging the members of the community, I will help keep citizens informed on the issues and actions taken by our City Council. I will also host office hours to actively listen to the concerns of those I serve and be responsive to the citizens of Mahtomedi.
Navigating a government system can be challenging and at times you may not know where to turn-- I want to be the person you turn to in Mahtomedi.
I will listen, learn, and lead to better the community of Mahtomedi.
