Applied Care Services, a provider of Therapy and SUD outpatient services, want to invite you to their Open House, Saturday, July 16th from 11 am to 1pm. Our aim at this event is to highlight our services, as well as services offered by the other businesses in the Birch Cove Townhome Association, we are located in. We want this event to be not only informative, but memorable as well. A free Vietnamese buffet will be served with our therapists, and SUD staff hosting. Bag-Treats for kids! A highlight of our Open House will be the delightful Douglas Limon, Ojibwe artist. His beautiful beadwork is loved by many and used for various applications. Most interesting of late are his cradleboards-which are an important cultural piece he has resurrected. He will also be demonstrating beading on a loom, and at 12:30 pm will share on, "The Importance of Art and Culture in Mental Health Outcomes." It is reported that Mr. Limon has said he always includes a flaw in his pieces, which his mother taught him to do, as a reminder that no one is perfect.
