Temperatures, for the most part, averaged pretty much near normal during our sunny period. The ice on lakes was remarkable. With no snow it felt a bit eerie walking out on them. If you were down by one of the larger lakes you may have caught ice boats zipping along. Clouds and snow moved in Friday, Jan. 9, and stayed with us through Sunday, leaving behind about 2" of snow. An Arctic blast, not bitter, brought subzero temperatures but it was short-lived as temperatures are expected to rebound into the 30's for the last half of the workweek. Another Arctic blast is expected this weekend and may not be so nice. Astro note: Look for Venus above Saturn in the southwest evening sky after sunset on Jan. 18. Note: My 2025 weather calendar is available. Check Weatherman Watson.com or call 651-206-5364 for more info.
