Cold temperatures ruled the first half of the month and there was concern if it would be a white Christmas. Our fortunes turned mid-month and much of the second half of the month temperatures averaged well above normal. We experienced one record high of 51º on December 7 and my coldest morning was -10° on December 12. December snowfall totaled near normal, thanks to 6.0 inches that fell on December 19. We haven't seen much of the sun lately but that could change as an Arctic blast is expected to settle over us. This will bring sunny skies with at least teens below 0º and single digit highs. Note: My 2025 weather calendar is available at Lake Country Booksellers in Downtown White Bear Lake or on-line at WeathermanWatson.com.
