WHITE BEAR TOWNSHIP News &Views 1858 RAMSEY COUNTY MINNESOTA A bi-weekly section where readers will be informed on subjects of seasonal interest, upcoming events and other timely topics. 2020 ELECTION INFORMATION In 2016 the legislature authorized the establishment of a presidential nomination primary. This primary takes place on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. This primary supplements (not replaces) the party caucus model used for many years in Minnesota. In a presidential nomination primary only presidential candidates from a major party appear on the ballot. Election day voting locations will be the same for each of the 3 elections. The White Bear Lake Library will once again serve as an election location. If you have questions please contact the elections office at 651.266.2171. rOUR VOTE .COUNTS During this primary each major party's nominees must be on separate ballots, therefore a voter THE WATER EFFICIENCY REBATE PROGRAM IS BACK White Bear Township has once again been awarded a water efficiency grant from the Metropolitan Council. What this means is that Township water customers whose bills are not delinquent, may apply for rebates as follows: must state which party's ballot they want when voting in the presidential nomination primary. If the voter refuses to select a party, they willnot be able to vote in the presidential nomination primary. MUROROUTAN g Nominees for other offices (senators, representatives, etc.) will continue to be selected at the state primary Up to a maximum of $200 for a WaterSense labeled toilet Up to a maximum of $125 for an Energy Star Residential Clothes Washing Machine Up to a maximum of $200 for a WaterSense labeled Irrigation System Controller Up to a maximum of $150 for a WaterSense labeled Spray Sprinkler Body - Up to a maximum of $150 for an Irrigation Audit by a Water Sense Certified Professional A copy of the original purchase receipt & invoice for installation (if applicable) must be provided with the application. The rebate program runs through June 30, 2022 or until the funds are depleted.
