County Environmental Center Now Open Ramsey County's Environmental Center opened April 1! This new facility makes it easier for residents to reduce, reuse, repair and recycle. Features include: household hazardous waste drop off; electronics, food scraps and general recycling; free product reuse room. The Environmental Center is located at 1700 Kent Street in Roseville. It is open year-round, Tuesdays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. closed on county holidays. Pollinator Protection Resolution The Vadnais Heights City Council has passed a Pollinator Protection Resolution encouraging actions to support native bees and beneficial insects. The resolution supports and encourages residents to: plant more native flowers, bushes, vines, and trees; purchase plants that have not been treated with pesticides; minimize use of insecticides; leave the leaves; and talk to neighbors about the importance of native pollinators and how to help them.
