As the days grow longer & the air fills with the aromas of spring, we're reminded that this season is nature's way of telling us it's time to start over! After the long cold hibernation of winter, our community is once again moving forward with construction & renewal, in order to polish this gem we call White Bear Township. This season, we're focusing on streets & in- frastructure again as part of our 10-year street management investment-whether it's a mill & overlay or a full reclamation going on in your neighborhood, we ask for everyone's patience as we invest in the overall betterment of our community. In the meantime, keep check- ing back with the Township's website for details on Township events this spring such as cleanup day & movies in the park. Enjoy your spring! Illicit discharge is any discharge WHITE BEAR TOWNSHIP to the storm sewer system that is not composed entirely of stormwater. A few examples of illicit discharge include oil, trash, grass, dirt, leaves, or cigarette butts. These non-stormwater dis- charges may also occur due to illegal connec- tions to the storm drain system from business or commercial establishments. This results in con- taminated wastewater entering local water bod- ies via the storm sewer system. Untreated, these discharges contribute to the degradation of our valuable water resources. Please report any il- licit discharges to Jami Philip, 651-747-2764.
