Well, we keep waiting & waiting for the snow to arrive, but this first part of winter is not doing much for the holiday season ambience! Nevertheless, this is Minnesota, & it will be here eventually. Township crews are doing regular pre-snow season maintenance around the area & we will be prepared. It has been an eventful year for sure for all of us, & on behalf of the whole organization, I do want to extend to all of our residents a huge thank you for your patience & understanding while we all get through a very busy end to 2024. Check the Township website for more information about what makes White Bear Township truly unique! | SPECIAL TOWN BUDGET MEETING WAS HELD ON DECEMBER 3RD - White Bear Township's Special Town Budget Meeting, was held on Tuesday, December 3rd at Heritage Hall. This was a meeting of the residents, where those in attendance approved by vote the amount to be levied for the 2025 property tax & provided a recommendation of the Town's 2025 operating budget to the Town Board after a presentation from Town staff. At the time of this publication, the 2025 operating budget was proposed to increase 7.95% to $6,740,979 & the property tax levy was proposed to increase 9.33% to $6,212,324. Some of the reasons for the increase include a 7.25% increase to public safety budget, parks & recreation increasing 14.37% to remove ash trees, & the Town's debt levy for road, park & water improvement decreasing $15,626 based on the current debt repayment WHITE BEAR TOWNSHIP schedule. Ramsey County estimates that the median value home market value in the Township increased 4.80% to $378,900. Based on a tax levy of $6,212,324 & if your home value increased 4.80% you would see Township tax increase between $4.12 on a home valued at $256,624 to $12.27 per month on a home valued at $513,247. 1858 RAMSEY COUNTY MINNESOTA WINTER PARKING RESTRICTIONS - No vehicle may park on any road or street in the Township between the hours of 2 a.m. & 6 a.m. from November 1st through April 1st, or any time after a snowfall of one or more inches until the road is cleared curb to curb. PLACE YOUR GARBAGE & RECYCLING CONTAINERS IN YOUR DRIVEWAY - Visit the Township website for more Garbage & recycling containers that are information. CAMPER & BOAT STORAGE REGULATIONS - Outside storage of boats, travel trailers, campers & camping buses on or adjacent to a driveway is only allowed from April 1st through November 1st. Snowmobiles may be parked on or adjacent to driveways from November 1st to March 31st. placed in the street run the risk of being damaged by snow from passing snowplows. Containers are to be put out on the day of your collection & removed no later than 10:00 p.m. on the same day.
