News & Views | Vadnais Heights Adopt-a-Raingarden Teams are forming to help keep the City's growing network of raingardens (and other green infrastructure) in ship shape! These projects play a big role in filtering and storing stormwater runoff, while providing valuable pollinator habitat. The Adopt-a-Raingarden program is a joint effort between volunteers and Public Works staff, and is hosted by VLAWMO. Staff help provide the training and heavy lifting. and with the help of volunteers City staff are able to focus on other important tasks, like street maintenance. Join the Green Team This team is intended to coordinate Music in the Parks Series Celebrate summer with a free outdoor concert in your neighborhood! Grab a blanket or lawnchair and head over! Parking is limited at our neighborhood parks, so attendees are encouraged to walk 'n' roll instead of driving. Arrive early and take a Walk in the Park with Mayor Krachmer. These informal "walk and talk" strolls begin at 5:00 p.m. prior to every concert. The next concert features Roe Family Singers. on Wednesday, July 19 at Westfield Park from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Mac and Cheese Band will perform on Wednesday, July 26 at Lily Pond Park.
