Commissions play an important role by studying specific topics and making recommendations. to the city council. Each commission is comprised of no more than seven members, appointed by city council to serve three-year terms. Currently, the city is seeking representatives to fill the following commission seats: Park, Recreation and Trails Commission - Two seats open; Planning Commission - Two seats open; Health and Public Safety Commission - One seat open. Red Cross Blood Drive The next Red Cross Blood Drive is Monday, December 16, at the Vadnais f Heights Commons from 10am to 4pm. Ap- pointments are required and can be made on the Red Cross app, online at redcross- blood.com or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. Winter Parking Rules Winter parking rules are in effect November 1 through April 1. No parking is allowed on any City street between the hours of lam and 6am. There is also no parking allowed immediately after accumulation of two inches or more of continuous snow until the street is plowed curb to curb. Violators will be ticketed and/or towed. Silver Ball Area seniors are invited to dress in their best and join us for a dance at the Vadnais Heights Commons on January 12. Tickets include live music and hors d'oeuvres. A cash beer and wine bar will be available. Family and friends of all ages are welcome to attend. Registra- tions can be completed online at cityvad- naisheights.com/register or at City Hall, cost is $20.
